Get the most from a new Radeon card with these steps.

Install the latest driver

Download AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition from AMD’s website. If you are switching from an NVIDIA card, uninstall the old driver first.

Enable Smart Access Memory

Turn on Resizable BAR (called Smart Access Memory on AMD systems) in your motherboard BIOS. It can add a few percent of performance.

Use FSR 4

In supported games, choose FSR 4 for upscaling. AMD Software can also upgrade some FSR 3.1 games to FSR 4.

Try HYPR-RX

HYPR-RX turns on several AMD features with one click, such as Anti-Lag and Radeon Boost. Test it per game, since results vary.

Check temperatures

Use the performance overlay to watch temperatures and clock speeds, and keep your case well ventilated.
