Why is my Genshin Impact code not working?

Genshin Impact is HoYoverse’s free-to-play open-world action RPG, released on September 28, 2020. It runs on PC, PlayStation, iOS and Android, and ships a new version roughly every six weeks. As of October 2026 the game is on version 7.1, with the 7.2 Special Program livestream due around the end of the month.
How Genshin Impact codes work
HoYoverse hands out redeem codes for Primogems, Mora, Hero’s Wit and enhancement materials. Most arrive with the Special Program livestream for each version: three codes that are valid for only about 48 hours. Other codes appear without warning on official channels such as HoYoLAB, the Genshin Impact news page and social accounts. You need to be Adventure Rank 10 or higher to redeem them.
How to redeem a code
Go to the official redemption page at genshin.hoyoverse.com/en/gift, sign in with your HoYoverse account, choose your server, and enter the code. You can also redeem in the game: open the Paimon menu, go to Settings, then Account, then Redeem Code. Codes are not case sensitive, and each can be used once per account.
Why a code may not work
Check the spelling, make sure you are on the right server, confirm you have reached Adventure Rank 10 and look at the date. Livestream codes expire quickly, and some codes only work on one server region. The codes below are marked expired so you can skip them.
Versions and updates
The 7.1 Special Program aired on September 12, 2026 and its three codes stopped working after September 15. The next batch is tied to the 7.2 Special Program. We list a code as working only when we can confirm it. Our Genshin Impact guides explain codes, Primogems and wishes.
