Guides
All guidesFrequently asked questions about Adopt Me!
Are there Adopt Me! codes?
Adopt Me! releases codes only occasionally. Trackers we checked reported none active at their most recent update in July 2026. The developer announces any new code on its official X account, @PlayAdoptMe, and you should never enter your password to claim one.
Who makes Adopt Me!?
Adopt Me! is developed by Uplift Games, an independent studio that was formerly called DreamCraft. It is published on Roblox.
When did Adopt Me! come out?
Adopt Me! was released on July 13, 2017. It started as a family roleplay and became a pet-raising game, with pets driving its growth.
Is Adopt Me! on Xbox and PlayStation?
Yes. Adopt Me! runs through Roblox on Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, Xbox and PlayStation.
What are the pet rarities in Adopt Me!?
Pets are sorted into common, uncommon, rare, ultra-rare and legendary rarities. Each egg hatches its own set of pets.
How do I avoid scams when trading pets?
Trade only through the in-game trade window, check the final offer on screen before accepting, and ignore deals that move to chat or another site. High-value pets sell for real money off Roblox, which is why scammers target players.
How often is Adopt Me! updated?
Uplift Games ships regular updates, with weekly updates on Fridays and larger seasonal events such as Halloween and the winter event.
Adopt Me! is a Roblox pet-raising and social game from Uplift Games, formerly known as DreamCraft. It launched on July 13, 2017 and began as a roleplay about adopting children before its focus moved to hatching, raising and trading pets. By January 2026 it had passed 42 billion lifetime visits, one of the highest totals on Roblox.
What you do in Adopt Me!
You hatch pets from eggs, look after them, decorate a house, explore Adoption Island and play with friends. Each egg hatches a different set of pets, and every pet belongs to a rarity tier: common, uncommon, rare, ultra-rare or legendary. Limited-time eggs and events rotate through the game, so pets from retired eggs become harder to find over time.
Trading and pet values
Trading between players is the long-term economy of the game. Values are set by the community rather than the developer, and they move with every update and event. Market trackers point to legacy pets such as the Shadow Dragon, Frost Dragon, Bat Dragon, Giraffe, Blue Dog and Pink Cat as pets that hold value because their eggs are gone. Treat any value you read, including ours, as a snapshot and compare several offers before a large trade.
Updates and events
Uplift Games ships updates on a regular schedule, with weekly updates on Fridays and larger seasonal events such as Halloween and the winter event with its Advent calendar. New pets and limited items usually arrive with these events, so it pays to check the update notes before you spend in-game money or Robux.
Where you can play
Adopt Me! runs through Roblox on Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, Xbox and PlayStation. It is free to play, with optional Robux purchases for premium pets and items.
Adopt Me! codes
Codes in Adopt Me! are rare and short-lived. Code trackers we checked reported none active at their most recent update in July 2026, and the developer announces any new code on its official X account, @PlayAdoptMe. If a site asks for your password to unlock a code, close it.
Staying safe while trading
High-value pets have sold for real money on sites outside Roblox, and that has attracted scammers. Only trade through the game’s own trade window, never agree to deals made in chat or on other sites, and never share your login details. Our Adopt Me! guides explain how to spot the common tricks.
