Apex rewards teamwork more than raw aim. These habits help straight away.

Stay with your squad

A lone player in Apex is a free knock. Drop with your jumpmaster and fight together.

Loot quickly

Grab a weapon, armour, a helmet and heals, then move. Do not open every bin in a town: speed beats perfect loot.

Ping everything

The ping system lets you mark enemies, loot and destinations without a mic. Use it constantly.

Learn to slide and climb

Slide down hills, climb walls and take zip lines. Movement keeps you alive and gets you to cover.

Watch for third parties

Gunfire attracts other squads. After a fight, heal and reload behind cover straight away, then move before the next team arrives.

Rotate early

Check the ring and move before it closes, ideally with a Skirmisher or Recon Legend to make the trip safer.
