Innocents make up most of every MM2 lobby, so getting better at surviving is the quickest way to win more rounds.
Keep moving, but not alone
A player standing still in an empty room is the easiest target on the map. Move between groups, and never follow a single player into a dead end.
Watch the knife, not the name
The Murderer looks like everyone else until the knife comes out. Watch for a player holding something, jumping oddly near others, or running straight at people.
Know where the Sheriff is
Staying near the Sheriff gives you protection. If the Sheriff dies, note where the gun drops and decide quickly whether you can reach it safely.
Collect coins on the move
Coins go toward crates in the shop. Pick them up along your route rather than taking long detours to grab them.
Use the map
Learn each map’s long sightlines and loops. A loop, such as a staircase or a room with two doors, lets you break a chase. Throws are dangerous along long straight halls.
