The Murder Mystery 2 Halloween event started on October 18, 2026 at 3:00 PM EDT and ends on November 16, 2026 at 18:00 UTC. Candy replaces coins for the whole event.
Key dates and timing
The event runs from October 18, 2026 at 3:00 PM EDT to November 16, 2026. Daily quests reset at 8:00 AM UTC, which is 3:00 AM EST. Candy does not carry over after the event ends, so unspent Candy is lost on November 16. Plan your spending so that you finish the items you want before then.
Candy: the only currency
Candy is the only currency that drops during the event, and Coins do not drop at all. You earn Candy from three sources: pickups on the floor during rounds, daily quests, and event milestones.
Map pickups
Candy spawns on the floor during rounds and can be collected by any role. Surviving longer means more pickups, so staying alive for the whole round is the simplest way to earn more.
Daily quests
There are three cumulative daily collection targets. Collecting 60 Candies gives a bonus of 220, collecting 120 gives 110 more, and collecting 200 gives 170 more, for a total of 500 bonus Candy when you complete the set. Completing the daily quests also counts toward event milestones: 15 total daily quests give the Hexed Common Knife Skin, 30 give the Pumpkin Skin, and 45 give the Ghostly Rare Knife Skin.
The 30-tier Battle Pass
Tier 1 is free. Tiers 2 through 29 cost 600 Candy each, which adds up to 16,800 Candy. Tier 30 is the Emberbow ancient and costs 100,000 Candy, so the full pass costs 116,800 Candy. The middle tiers include legendary knife skins such as Ember and Darkwave, which are exclusive to the pass. This is a smaller, cheaper pass per tier than 2025, when the pass had 25 tiers at 800 Candy each and ended in an Alien theme set.
The Halloween Box
The Halloween Box 2026 costs 600 Candy or one Halloween Key. It holds twelve weapons that range from common items such as the Candy Corn gun and Skulls knife through uncommon, rare and legendary items to the Embersickle, which is a godly, and the Chroma Emberbow, which is extremely rare. Guides give different drop percentages and some do not add up, so treat any single figure with caution. The key point is that the Embersickle is also needed for Cauldron crafting.
Spending order that most guides recommend
- Buy Battle Pass tiers first.
- Use Halloween Keys on boxes instead of spending Candy on them.
- Spend leftover Candy on boxes near the end of the event.
Do not buy tiers you will not finish using, because unfinished progress gets you nothing.
Bingo
Bingo is a 3×3 grid of nine challenges with seven rewards. The challenges include surviving and winning three rounds as an Innocent, collecting 300 Candies, picking up the dropped gun and shooting the Murderer, winning by shooting the Murderer as Sheriff, shooting 16 zombies in Infection mode, shooting the Murderer before they kill anyone, killing seven players with melee, killing 12 players by throwing your knife, and eliminating six or more players in a round five times.
- Row 1: Bats Knife skin.
- Row 2: Witches Brew Knife skin.
- Row 3: Jack Knife skin.
- Column 1: two Halloween Keys.
- Column 2: Pumpkins Knife skin.
- Column 3: Flameburst Knife skin.
- Full board: the Cauldron.
The Barn map is used for Infection mode and is needed for the 16-zombie challenge.
The Cauldron and the Emberscythe
The Cauldron is located behind the witch NPC in the lobby. You combine an Embersickle and an Emberbow to craft an Emberscythe, with a small chance of getting a Chroma Emberscythe instead. The Chroma Emberscythe does not drop from any box. You can repeat the crafting as many times as you want if you have the required weapons.
The secret room
You can open a secret room in the lobby by clicking the skulls above the voting pads in rainbow order. A wrong order does nothing.
Maps in the event
The standard rotation includes Manor, Farmhouse, Mineshaft, Vampire’s Castle and Spaceship, and the revamped Haunted House 2 is new this season. The Barn is for Infection mode.
Is the Mortal bundle worth it?
The Mortal bundle costs 3,399 Robux and includes the Mortal knife, the Immortal gun and the Smolder effect, and individual items cost 1,699 Robux each. None of them come from Candy farming, so they are purely optional purchases.
Tips for a free player
- Survive full rounds to maximize pickups.
- Complete all three daily quests every day. You need 45 daily quests for the Ghostly Rare Knife skin.
- Keep your Candy balance low and buy tiers as you earn them, since unspent Candy is lost on November 16.
- Stack Bingo objectives with normal play.
- Check official MM2 channels for codes.
How Murder Mystery 2 rounds work
Murder Mystery 2 is a social deduction game on Roblox. Each round has one Murderer, one Sheriff and a lobby of Innocents. The Murderer tries to eliminate everyone, the Sheriff tries to find and stop the Murderer, and the Innocents try to survive. During the Halloween event, Candy spawns on the floor in every round, and every role can pick it up, so the best strategy for farming is to survive and collect, not to chase kills.
The Candy math
A little arithmetic shows how much work the pass is. The paid tiers cost 16,800 Candy, and the final tier costs 100,000 Candy, for a full total of 116,800. The daily quest set pays 500 Candy, so if you completed it every day for the whole event window of 29 days you would earn about 14,500 Candy from quests alone. That is not enough for the paid tiers, so you need floor pickups on top. For most players the realistic goal is to finish the 29 paid tiers and treat the final tier as a stretch goal. Spending Halloween Keys on the box rather than Candy keeps your Candy for tiers.
2025 versus 2026 at a glance
- Battle pass tiers: 25 in 2025, 30 in 2026.
- Candy per paid tier: 800 in 2025, 600 in 2026.
- Final reward: an Alien theme set in 2025, the Emberbow ancient in 2026.
- New map: Spaceship in 2025, a revamped Haunted House 2 in 2026.
A simple weekly plan
Play a few full rounds each day and focus on survival. Finish all three daily quests every day, since they are the steadiest source of Candy and the only route to the quest milestone skins. Buy pass tiers as you earn Candy instead of saving, because unspent Candy disappears on November 16. Open Halloween Boxes with Keys first. Work Bingo challenges in while you play, such as winning as Sheriff or throwing your knife, so that the board fills without extra rounds.
