PUBG punishes rushing and rewards patience. Here is how to get into the final circles more often.

Drop away from the flight path

Big named towns under the plane fill with players. Drop to a smaller cluster of houses a short way from the flight path so you can loot in peace.

Loot in this order

  1. Any gun and ammo for it.
  2. A helmet and vest. Level 2 or 3 makes a huge difference.
  3. A backpack, then healing (bandages, first aid kits, energy drinks and painkillers).
  4. Attachments and a scope.

Play the blue zone, not the fights

The safe zone shrinks in stages. Move early toward the next circle, use cover on the way and take a vehicle for long distances. Most deaths happen to players caught in the open while rushing in late.

Pick your fights

You do not have to shoot everyone you see. Shooting gives away your position. Fight when you have cover and the advantage.

Start on the M416

The M416 with a compensator and a grip is the easiest rifle to control. Practise its recoil in the Training Mode.
