These two cards fight for the same buyer: someone who wants excellent 1440p and capable 4K gaming.
Price
At launch the RX 9070 XT was $599 and the RTX 5070 Ti $749. Street prices in 2026 have been higher for both, at around $759 and $1,099 according to Tom’s Hardware.
Performance
In Tom’s Hardware testing the RTX 5070 Ti averaged about 92 fps at 1440p and the RX 9070 XT about 85 fps. They are close in normal rendering, while NVIDIA leads in heavy ray tracing.
Upscaling
NVIDIA has DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation. AMD’s FSR 4 closed much of the gap in image quality but is supported in fewer games.
VRAM
Both have 16 GB, which is enough for 1440p and most 4K gaming.
Verdict
The RX 9070 XT is the better value at typical prices. Choose the RTX 5070 Ti if you want the best ray tracing and DLSS support.
