A theme is the prompt for the round, such as a style, a character or a holiday. You build an outfit that fits it from the clothing, hair and accessories available, and the theme is what other players judge you against on the runway.
New themes are added with updates and events, including pop-culture crossovers, so the best advice is to read the theme before you pick anything.
