How the campaign reward system works

Battlefield 6 campaign rewards come from three places: collecting every dog tag in a mission, completing campaign assignments, and finishing the story on the hardest difficulty. According to the in-game tracker described by guides, there are nine missions, thirty dog tags and about twenty-five rewards in total, covering character skins, profile cosmetics, a vehicle camo and XP boosters. All of them are cosmetic or consumable, so none changes how powerful you are in multiplayer.

Rewards by mission

  • Always Faithful: the Dead Center dog tag for collecting every collectible, plus an Infiltrator player card title for completing the mission.
  • The Rock: a Danger Ahead player card background, and a Standard Issue item for completing the mission.
  • Operation Gladius: an Elite Raider player card icon.
  • Night Raid: an Urban Sprawl Pax Armata skin for the Scout class, according to PC Gamer.
  • No Sleep: a Gridlock NATO skin for the Support class.
  • Moving Mountains: a Career XP Booster for finding all four dog tags. The game describes it as a double XP consumable, and the duration is not stated.
  • Nile Guard: a Canopy Drop vehicle camo.
  • Operation Ember Strike: a Gridlock character skin for Assault.
  • Always Forward: an Urban Sprawl Pax Armata skin, plus progress toward the final dog tag.
  • All thirty dog tags: the Winner Take All dog tag.
  • Hardest difficulty: a weapon package for clearing the campaign.

Guides disagree on small details such as which class label a skin carries, and spellings differ, so confirm the exact name on the in-game tracker. PC Gamer counts four skins in total among the rewards.

Campaign assignments

Besides the per-mission rewards, there are assignments listed at the bottom of the challenges tab in the start menu. Examples include completing a mission with 30 headshots for the Breach player card background, and completing a mission with 10 melee kills for the Safeties On player card icon. Completing the first two missions also unlocks titles and character items. Guides count fifteen campaign assignments in total.

How many dog tags are in each mission?

Guides count thirty dog tags across the nine missions. Most missions hold three, longer missions hold four, and Nile Guard has only two because you spend it mostly inside a tank. Always Faithful has three, and Always Forward has four. Moving Mountains has four, and collecting all four earns the Career XP Booster. Dog tags are placed on non-destructible surfaces or stuck to walls, sometimes by a knife in a poster or board, and some are hard to spot when there is a lot of shooting.

Examples of where dog tags hide

  • Always Faithful: the first collectible is directly on your main path through the mission.
  • The Rock: the second tag is widely called the worst offender in the game, deviously hidden, so expect to check guides for this one.
  • Operation Gladius: one tag is near where you first exit the tank into the car park, and another is at city hall. Go through the main entrance and turn left to find a small room where the tag hangs from a knife stabbed into a poster about macaques.
  • Night Raid: one tag is in the bathroom of an office down the corridor from the door you breach upstairs in the embassy.
  • No Sleep: the first tag is in the briefing room at the start of the mission, and another sits on a crate inside a dark room where you may need night vision to see it. Another is on Sgt. Acre desk.
  • Moving Mountains: four tags across the fire station, the park and the subway.

The pattern is consistent: tags sit on solid props, on desks and crates, or pinned to walls, and they rarely appear out in the open. When a room looks like it has been decorated with extra care, check it twice.

The trophy that goes with them

Finding all thirty dog tags unlocks the Pack Leader trophy or achievement. There is also one campaign trophy per mission, nine in total, and nothing is missable because every mission can be replayed from mission select. The pause menu tells you how many tags remain in the current mission, and the Challenges tab also tracks them.

A completionist plan that saves time

  1. Play each mission once on a comfortable difficulty and pick up tags you see on the main path.
  2. Check the pause menu counter at the end of each mission to see how many you missed.
  3. Replay only the missions with missing tags instead of the whole campaign.
  4. Use a mission with many enemies in the open to complete the 30 headshots assignment.
  5. Use stealth missions such as Night Raid to complete the 10 melee kills assignment.
  6. Finish on the hardest difficulty last, once you know every mission.

Guides recommend hunting tags during a normal playthrough, not as a separate speedrun afterward, because replaying all nine missions purely for tags adds real time to a campaign that takes about 5 to 6 hours.

Why the guides disagree

You will see small differences between guides, such as reward names that are spelled differently, a skin labelled for a different class, or a slightly different number of rewards. Some of those lists were written before launch from datamined or preview information, and others were written from the in-game tracker after release. When a name or class label differs, trust the in-game tracker, which shows what you have actually earned.

What if a reward does not appear?

If a reward is missing, EA provides an official troubleshooting flow for missing content and rewards on its help site, which triggers a recheck of your entitlements. You can use it once per account.

Which rewards are worth chasing?

If you enjoy customising your soldier, the character skins are the most visible rewards in multiplayer. The Career XP Booster is useful if you want to level faster, and the weapon package is a bonus for players who finish on the hardest difficulty. If you only care about gameplay and not looks, you can skip the hunt without losing any power.

How long does the campaign take?

About 5 to 6 hours on normal difficulty, with a wider range of 4 to 10 hours depending on difficulty and collectible hunting.

Is the campaign co-op?

No. It is single-player only.
