The Shadowgrapher (Update 42)
The Shadowgrapher (Update 42) launched March 25, 2026 with Follie, the 64th Warframe, the Follie's Hunt mode, new Adversary weapons and Warframe on Switch 2.
The Shadowgrapher is Warframe’s Update 42, released free on March 25, 2026. It returns players to the ruined Vesper Relay above Venus, adds Follie, the 64th Warframe, and a new mission type, Follie’s Hunt. Warframe also launched on Nintendo Switch 2 alongside it.

Follie’s abilities
- Inkblot (passive): ink slows enemies by up to 50% and gives a 20% chance for them to drop Health and Energy orbs.
- Forced Perspective: she dives through an inky frame and comes out invulnerable where you aim, splashing ink on nearby enemies.
- Shadowgraph: summons tools from her sketchbook. More unlock as she ranks up, all of them by Rank 30.
- Self Portrait: draws an ink effigy that absorbs damage for Follie and her allies. This is her Helminth ability.
- Plein Air: ties nearby enemies to floating balloons that drench them in ink; popping the balloons drops them and splashes more ink.
Her signature beam rifle, the Enkaus, instantly kills and dissolves inked enemies below 35% health. Its alternate fire sprays ink, and shooting stained enemies reloads it.
Follie’s Hunt
After The Chains of Harrow, a new node appears on Venus. In it you collect Paint from pools and deliver it to three Shadowgraphs (canvases) so you can extract. Delivering Paint wakes Follie, an invincible hunter whose aura damages you and drains your Energy. Carrying Paint disables Void Sling and Transference, and going down makes you drop it.
- Rewards: Atramentum (5 on the normal path, 10 on Steel Path), plus chances at blueprints, Syndicate Medallions, credits and Endo.
- Aspirant Zorba: a new vendor, found in any Relay, who trades Atramentum for Follie and Enkaus blueprints and more.
- Atragraph Mods: purely cosmetic, shiny versions of mods like Vitality and Fury, made with Chromatic Atramentum.
Other changes
- New Adversary weapons: Kuva Ghoulsaw, Tenet Quanta and Coda Bubonico.
- Clan cooperation: weekly initiatives that reward clan mates for playing together.
- Mission QoL: Security Bypass pickups to speed up Survival, and tougher Excavators in Excavation.
- New players: the opening Awakening quest got a full visual remaster and tutorial changes.
- Less grind for many Warframes and weapons more than five years old.
- More Operator and Drifter faces, eyebrows and complexions, and 44 new Honoria titles.
