Minecraft game time converter
Convert between ticks, real minutes and in-game days, and find the tick for dawn, noon, sunset and midnight.
How the minecraft game time converter works
Minecraft runs at 20 ticks per second. One in-game day is 24,000 ticks, which is 20 real minutes. Tick 0 is 6:00 in the morning, 6000 is noon, 12000 is sunset, 18000 is midnight and 23000 is sunrise. The converter changes ticks, seconds, minutes and days into each other.
Use the tick numbers with /time set, with delays in command blocks, and with the 1200 ticks that make one minute.
Worked example
A five minute timer is 6,000 ticks. To make it noon, run /time set 6000, or /time set noon on Java.
Java Edition and Bedrock Edition
The tick counts are the same on Java and Bedrock. Java presets are day (1000), noon (6000), night (13000) and midnight (18000). Bedrock also has sunrise and sunset.
