Battlefield 6 is the all-out warfare shooter from Battlefield Studios and Electronic Arts, released on October 10, 2025 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. It was built by DICE, Ripple Effect Studios, Criterion Games and Motive Studio, and it does not run on PS4 or Xbox One.
Modes and campaign
The multiplayer lineup brings back the classic large-scale modes, including 64-player Conquest, and the game returned the single-player campaign that Battlefield 2042 did not have. The campaign was led by Criterion Games and Motive Studio. Destruction is a core pillar, with buildings and cover that break apart during a match, and the Portal builder lets players make custom maps and modes.
Seasons
Battlefield 6 follows a seasonal live-service model with free content and a Battle Pass. Season 1 began on October 28, 2025 and ran in three phases: Rogue Ops on the Blackwell Fields map, California Resistance on November 18 and Winter Offensive on December 9. Season 2 followed on February 17, 2026. Season 5 is set in Las Vegas and began on October 13, 2026 with three new maps and two remastered maps, and a Top Gun crossover with Paramount arrived during the summer.
Platforms and installs
The game is on PC through Steam, the Epic Games Store and the EA app, and on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Console installs are large, with Xbox Series X|S needing a little over 70 GB at launch, so clear space before you download a new season.
Codes
Battlefield 6 does not use redeem codes for in-game items. Be careful with sites that promise free battle pass or currency codes. Our Battlefield 6 guides track the seasons and updates.
