Minecraft title command generator
Create /title, subtitle and action bar messages with colors and timing, then copy the full set of commands for Java or Bedrock.
How the minecraft title command generator works
Write a title, an optional subtitle and an optional action bar message, then set how long they fade in, stay and fade out. Time is counted in ticks, and 20 ticks make one second. The tool gives you the commands in the right order, which matters: set the times first, then the subtitle, then the title, because the title is what makes the text appear.
The preview shows how it looks on screen. Use a selector such as @a (everyone) or @p (the nearest player) as the target.
Worked example
A round start: times 10 70 20 (about 5 seconds in total), a gold title Round 1 and a yellow subtitle Get ready! Paste the lines into a chain of command blocks, or into a function.
Java Edition and Bedrock Edition
Java sends title text as JSON, so colors and styles work. Bedrock uses /titleraw for styled text, with section sign codes, and plain /title for simple text. The tool writes the right set for the edition you choose.
Frequently asked questions
Why is my subtitle not showing?
A subtitle only appears together with a title. Run the subtitle command before the title command, as the tool lists them, and make sure the title is not empty.
How long does a title stay on screen?
By default it fades in for 10 ticks, stays for 70 and fades out for 20, which is about 5 seconds. Change the three numbers to make it longer or shorter.
What is an action bar message?
It is the line of text above the hotbar. It suits short hints because it does not cover the screen.
How do I clear a title?
Use /title @a clear to remove it at once, or /title @a reset to put the timings back to their defaults.
