Minecraft give command generator
Build a /give command with any item, count and enchantments for Java Edition, or the /give plus /enchant set for Bedrock Edition.
How the minecraft give command generator works
Choose Java Edition or Bedrock Edition, pick an item ID, set how many you want, and add up to six enchantments. The command updates as you type, so you can copy it into chat or a command block straight away. Start typing an item ID and pick it from the suggestions.
Java mode adds a custom name, a lore line, Unbreakable and the enchantment glint, and it writes the command in the format your version expects: Java 1.21.5 and newer, 1.20.5 to 1.21.4, or 1.20.4 and older. Levels above the normal maximum are allowed with /give in Java, for example Sharpness 100, but anvils will not combine items that have them.
Worked example
In Java 1.21.5 or newer, a Sharpness V diamond sword is /give @p diamond_sword[enchantments={sharpness:5}] 1. In Java 1.20.5 to 1.21.4 the same item needs one more layer: /give @p diamond_sword[enchantments={levels:{sharpness:5}}] 1.
Java Edition and Bedrock Edition
Bedrock Edition cannot add enchantments, names or lore through /give. In Bedrock mode the tool gives you the /give line, then a list of /enchant commands to run while you hold the item. It also warns you when a level is above what Bedrock allows, or when an enchantment such as Sweeping Edge does not exist there.
Frequently asked questions
How do I give myself an enchanted item with a command?
In Java, put the enchantments in square brackets after the item ID, such as diamond_sword[enchantments={sharpness:5}]. Bedrock /give cannot do this, so give the item, hold it, and run /enchant @s sharpness 5 for each enchantment. The generator writes both versions for you.
Why does the game say Unknown item or Expected whitespace?
The item ID is wrong, or the command is written for a different version. Use lowercase IDs with underscores, pick the Java version that matches yours, and check the ID in our ID list.
Can I use the command in a command block?
Yes. Paste it with or without the leading slash. Use a selector such as @p or @a for the player, because a command block has no name of its own.
What do @p, @s and @a mean?
@s is yourself, @p is the nearest player and @a is every player. Our target selector guide explains all of them, with filters.
