Minecraft firework generator
Design firework rockets with shapes, colors, fade colors, trails and flight height, then copy a /give command or the Survival crafting steps.
How the minecraft firework generator works
Pick the flight duration, the shape, one or more colors, optional fade colors, and whether it leaves a trail or twinkles. The tool writes the /give command for the rocket and also lists the exact ingredients to craft the same firework in Survival, including the firework star.
Flight duration is the number of gunpowder in the rocket, from 1 to 3, and it sets how high the rocket flies.
Worked example
A large red ball with a white fade and a trail: choose Large ball, tick red, tick white under Fade to, and keep Trail on. The crafting box tells you to combine gunpowder, red dye, a fire charge and a diamond into a star, add white dye for the fade, then craft with paper and gunpowder.
Java Edition and Bedrock Edition
The /give command is for Java Edition, and its format changed in 1.20.5, so choose your version in the tool. Bedrock /give cannot set firework explosions, so in Bedrock mode the tool shows only the crafting steps, which work on both editions.
Frequently asked questions
What do the shapes need?
Small ball needs nothing extra, large ball needs a fire charge, star needs a gold nugget, creeper face needs any mob head and burst needs a feather.
How do I make a firework twinkle or leave a trail?
Add glowstone dust for twinkle and a diamond for a trail when you craft the star. In the /give command these are the has_twinkle and has_trail options.
How many ingredients can a firework star have?
The crafting grid holds nine items. The tool warns you when the recipe needs more than nine, for example with many dyes plus a shape and an effect.
How high does a firework fly?
The flight duration sets it. Flight 1 is the lowest and flight 3 is the highest.
